Brent Ellwyn

Brent joins the Reach community with nearly 20 years of legal knowledge and experience, and a passion for helping his clients with their business law and estate planning needs. In his role as legal counsel to both individuals and companies, his work includes advising on mergers and acquisitions (e.g. buying and selling businesses); developing comprehensive estate and succession plans; contract drafting and review, wills, powers of attorney and representation agreements; commercial lending transactions; and securities laws.

Brent possesses the dynamism and commitment to learning needed in the constantly evolving areas of corporate and commercial law and estate planning. Client-centered, creative, and service-oriented, he relishes finding ways to use technology to offer his clients an efficient, cost-effective, and even enjoyable experience with the law. His interest in innovation and his desire to make change happen, not to mention his tremendous likability, make Brent an excellent partner for small to medium-sized business clients looking to grow to the next level.

Something Special

Brent likes to visit new places and experience diverse cultures. When closer to home, a regular pass-time is cheering on his two busy daughters from the sidelines as they participate in their various activities. When not gardening or completing his latest home reno project, Brent relaxes by playing soccer and tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

What Community Means to Brent

For Brent, community means collaboration, contribution and giving back. An excellent example of Brent's community-orientation is his participation on White Rock's Peach Arch Hospital Foundation Board. The Board not only benefits the Hospital by bringing it much-needed equipment and capital upgrades, it also supports local organizations through its Healthy Community Grant Program - which Brent Chairs - by donating money to charities in need.

Brent is a lawyer with Cleveland Doan LLP.
